Friday Fun Day

Hello Friday!

Lots of simple things happened today! Mostly, lovely family stuff which are simple things that make me happy!

Here's to a wonderful Friday in our household! Benjie's Birthday gift, shopping with my loves, lil' D sugar and fruity craving, some vegan eating, actually lots of eating and reading a few more chapter in the hunger games trilogy of which I am hoping to finish the third book tonight (If I am lucky and hubby does not ask me to join him to watch a movie, such a jealous man! (laughing). I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! Enjoy and stay happy everyone!!!

Happy Mother's Day

Like I've said on my FB page, I’m devoting the whole month of May to women everywhere, and mothers in particular, for we have one of the toughest tasks in the world - raising the next generation!

Today, I woke up with a gorgeous bouquets of flowers from hubby. I kept receiving mother's day greetings from all of my family, friends and relatives, but it did not sink in how special this day was until my husband made it really special. I think it has something to do with him being the reason why I am a mother now. And of course, I thank Jesus for this wonderful experience as a woman.

Being a mother to my precious little son is so special. It's exhausting sometimes, stinky, thankless, messy, tiring and a daily test in patience, but its mostly just sweet, special and always heart melting. I love being little D's mommy and I am happy that I am his mommy.

These bags go to my nephews. I bet they are so eager to receive them. Before the year ends, I am going to send it to them. I just have to complete my balikbayan box first.

This is my son's favourite toy. He loves it and so do I. Whenever he wants to go out he will sit on it and not budge. So cute.



This is what's keeping my little patootie busy these days. He was totally hooked on it. I kinda like it too, because I can now, fully enjoy my meal without him sitting in my lap, or distracting me.
So this is what we are up to these days! Nothing special. Next week is going to be very busy because I am going back to school. Yey! Yes, 5 times a day and wake up at 7 am! Holy banana! I am not sure how I am going to do this waking up so early because I am not used to it any more. David used to watch Dane in the morning while I sleep and before he goes to work at 9 am, that's the time I woke up. So wish me luck! Anyhow, I wanna do this. I want to grow as a person and not just focus on taking care of household chores and mastering how to iron (just kidding)

Philippines and Dubai Getaway 2012

Hey guys! We are back from our Philippines and Dubai holiday. I wanted to blog about this the moment we arrived, but as always my hand has been full of mommy and wifely things to do. Anyway, I will make this blog as short as possible because my son is pulling on my hands already, even though I only just sat down in front of my laptop. Whew!

I just want you to know that I consider this holiday to have been one of the best holidays I have ever had with my family. I can also say that this has been a rather expensive vacation, but that’s the price to pay when you decide to bring your whole family to Manila from Zamboanga.

Well, what matters most is that we all had a wonderful time and despite our little guy falling sick, we still managed to visit Ocean Park Manila and do a lot of mallin’, shopping, eating, shopping again, and then eating again and to top things off we undertook a very memorable trip to my former hometown of Dinalupihan, Bataan. I had not been there in 20 years and it was really amazing to meet again some of my relatives that I had not seen in 20 years? Yes! So, try to imagine how we tried to patch things up.

On our Dubai trip we spent our time catching up with old friends for the most part. David wanted to go swim with the dolphin in Atlantis resort, but I suggested doing this next time, because I was dying to catch up with as many of my old friends as possible. Actually, I didn’t have the chance to meet some important people in my life like Debbie and Graeme Baker due to scheduling conflicts but hopefully next time.

But enough of my big boring story, let me leave you some goodies photos of our trip. Enjoy!!!

So nice to be with old friends again. How time flies yet we remain the same. :)

The cabin crew was mesmerized by my little guy's charming smile. They said that he was the cutest baby on board and they took a Polaroid photo of him as a high-flying momento. The picture frame Dane is holding is a souvenir picture of Dane and the crew. #proudmomma!
